Grookey Community Day created a lot of buzz in the Pokémon GO PvP community. Community Days usually give a Pokémon a temporary boost and an exclusive move, which can change its PvP value overnight. Grookey’s Community Day was no exception. It brought Rillaboom into the spotlight, but the real question remains: How useful is Rillaboom in PvP? Is it truly meta-worthy or just hype?

First, we need to understand why Community Days matter. During the event, trainers get increased candy and XP, faster evolution, and a chance to obtain a shiny version. For PvP players, the most significant benefit is the exclusive move.
